With over 25 years experience working in the arts and education, Maricar Jagger is an expert in marketing and publicity, specialising in promoting concerts and exhibitions, as well as developing audiences. In her time at the University of Portsmouth she built the public events programme from 6 public lectures a year to a year round programme of events encompassing lectures, concerts, exhibitions and community engagements, collaborating with civic and community organisations to deliver memorable events such as Brunel200 and Stargazing Live. In 2004 she and her husband (Director of Music at the University of Portsmouth) brought the Music in the Round Chamber Music Series to Portsmouth. Initially a joint project between Portsmouth Cathedral and University of Portsmouth, this has become Portsmouth's International Chamber Music Series held at Portsmouth Guildhall.
With an MBA and MA in Arts Administration from University of Cincinnati (USA) and experience working in museums, concert halls and community arts venues, she has a wealth of professional skills to support projects that deliver positive impact.
